Big White is open for Labor Day Weekend!
August 30th – Sept 1st Bike, Hike, Bevs, and More
Join in, with activities for the whole family: a Village Carnival, Various races, bike demos, local artisans, local beer/wine tastings, and more. The Bullet Chair will be operating, and visitors to the mountain will have an opportunity to ride up to the top to take in the scenic views. Yes, we’ll take you back down too, for those not into hiking. The Vistor’s Center (VCM) will be open all weekend as well, so feel free to stop by and pick up season passes.
Here’s some of the line-up planned.
Saturday, August 30th
- 9:30am – 11:30am King/Queen of the Mountain Bike Race (click for details/registration)
- 10:00am – 3:00pm Bullet Chair Open
- 10:00am – 2:00pm Village Carnival, local artisans, local wine & beer tasting, Big White Fire Department, family photo shoot, and much more!
- 11:30am – 2:30pm Village BBQ
- 1:00pm – 3:30pm Cyclocross fun race and bike demo in the Village
- 4:30pm – Live music at The Blarney Stone featuring, Tigermoon.
- After dark stargazing on The Blarney Deck with Okanagan Observatory.
Sunday, August 31st
- 9:30am – onwards Big White Hiking Challenge (click for details/registration)
- 10:00am – 3:00pm Bullet Chair Open
- 10:00am – 2:00pm Village Carnival, local artisans, local wine & beer tasting, Big White Fire Department, family photo shoot, and much more!
- 12:30pm – 2:30pm Live Music featuring, Jon Bos on the Telus/Samsung stage in the Village
- 4:30pm – 6:30pm Live music featuring, My Kind of Karma at The Blarney Stone.
Monday, September 1st
- 10:00am – 3:00pm Bullet Chair Open
- 10:00am – 3:30pm VCM Open
- Noon – 2:00pm BBQ Lunch at The Blarney Stone, with Live Music featuring, Wild Son.
