Mitch:
My wife and I had a fantastic stay. Your home is beautiful and your support staff are incredible. There was not one person in the group that didn’t absolutely have a great time.
Specifically,
Crescendo –
We had ten people. Ages ranged from mid-twenties to 61. The sleeping accommodations worked very well. We took one of the two bedrooms on the hot tub floor. It was perfectly comfortable. Plenty of towels. Great shower. Perfect. We What a great stay! We had ten people. Ages ranged from mid-twenties to 61. The sleeping accommodations worked very well. We took one of the two bedrooms on the hot tub floor. It was perfectly comfortable. Plenty of towels. Great shower. Perfect. We had great fun listening to the Satellite radio, hanging-out in the hot tub, and our group even watched a movie one night.
We brought in our own food and cooked every meal. You had all the devices and often duplicates. We used the Crock pts, Cuisinart, Coffee makers, French press, Chef’s Knives, silverware, plates, serving platters, mixing bowls, etc. If we had a question or if there was a problem, we gave a call to your property manager and an answer/solution was quickly worked out. She also answered every question we had about the Mountain, the house, and anything else we needed.
The Mountain –
Summertime was absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful. Not a person, or so it seemed, around for miles. We saw deer, beautiful double rainbows, incredible clouds, and just really enjoyed sitting outside in the hot tub both day and night.
Kelowna –
What a fantastic town. Upon arrival, 8 of us immediately descended on a liquor store. We took your advice and brought wine, but knew that wouldn’t last. And, we had fun trying the local wines. The individual working at the store must have had quite a shock at there being 8 of us running around the store grabbing all sorts of wines. We didn’t need any food because one of the group had driven in and brought all the food for all four days. So, after the liquor store we went straight to Crescendo.
We drove into town one day to visit Tree Brewery. The young lady working at Tree Brewer was fantastically nice. And, as an added bonus, we enjoyed the beer so much we bought two growlers (one beer, one cider) to take back with us.
On another occasion, the group decided to all go and visit several of the wineries. Each of the wineries had a different character and feel to them. It was fun seeing how beautiful the wineries were set into the mountain and next to the river.
Your attention to detail –
Your attention to detail at Crescendo was amazing. Let’s put it this way. One of the members of our group, who is quite picky said, “I want to come back and spend a month up here.” I think that comment pretty much equates to all the details being perfect. Certainly no complaints from me.
In conclusion,
We really appreciate your support of Girls Think Tank and were very lucky that we were able to stay at Crescendo. We hope that we will be able to plan another visit to your wonderful home. Please put me on your email list.

Joey (for August/September 2013) – Kamloops, BC
Most luxurious place I’ve ever experienced: I’ve stayed at some very high-end hotels, B & B’s, and resorts before, but this one takes the cake. The views are stunning, the design/layout keeps you saying “wow,” and variety within the house is perfect.
Every part of Crescendo has something unique for the most relaxed to the most active in your group of family or friends (I’m the relaxed type.). From excellent outdoor spaces, to soaking up the sunshine, to a wide variety of comfortable indoor spaces to hangout and laugh/make memories (The hot tub has a bit of both!). This is perfect for families looking to get away and experience something luxurious they will never forget.
There’s one problem: I haven’t gone in the winter yet… (and I must). I kept imagining myself skiing toward the house while my friends and family were hanging out in the hot tub.
The pictures don’t do it justice. You must experience it for yourself.

Labor Day Weekend 2013 – We had the time of our lives at the Crescendo. It is an incredible property and is much more amazing in person than in the photos in the listing.
The property managers were very nice and helpful upon arrival, making sure we had everything we possibly needed. The house has so many individual levels and areas, you will never feel crowded. In fact, you will have a hard time not getting lost.
It has an incredibly modern and futuristic vibe. Everything, including the lights, music, window coverings, fireplaces, and hot tub is controlled on easy-to-use touch screen panels, located in well thought-out locations throughout the house.
I can’t speak for every bed in the house, however, the one I slept in was very comfortable, as well as the couches. The steam shower is a wonderful way to start or end a day. There are classy robes provided, each sporting a gold Crescendo crest.
The indoor/outdoor hot tub is probably my favorite feature. It has more room than a group could ever need. The best part is, you never have to feel cold getting in or out of the hot tub, regardless of the season. If you have any doubt at all in renting this palace, please look-up the definition of “Crescendo,” and that should reassure you that this place is the definition of a good time.
I hope I can be privileged to another amazing time at the Crescendo in the future.

Thank you very much for letting us use this house. It is more awesomer!!!
03-17-2013 (Kate)
Thanks you for letting us stay here, and the house is amazing! Hot tub got lots of use!

Grand accommodations to match the majestic beauty of the ski hill – what luxurious après ski … avant ski. Thank you so much for sharing.
02-05-2013 (Bill, Ven, Doane, & Dave)
The four of us arrived from San Diego to find this spectacular home! What an absolute delight our stay has been! Some highlights:
To enjoy the calm, beauty, and luxury of Crescendo and Big White has been a much-needed break for all four of us. We all commented frequently about how much we needed a break from our routines. We’ll all return better bosses, employees, fathers, and husbands.
Thank you so much for this time here. We’re truly grateful! Dave

Had so much fun! Best Ski Vacation ever! My kids rocked this mountain. Huge house; amazing place!

Absolutely amazing. My whole family was in their glory around the clock. Best ski vacation ever and best snow!!
P.S. – Only sell to someone to keep this dream chalet rentable!!
Blythe (for several visits to Crescendo) – Rancho Santa Fe, CA
A private home that feels like a 5 Star resort – I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay at Crescendo twice! Every detail of the home was well planned. I think it goes without saying that the home is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. As an avid travel, who often rents private homes, I wanted to share some of my favorite things about Crescendo.
Truly ski-in ski-out; strap on your skis or board and ski down to the first chair! At the end of the day, ski through the village right to your front door.
The heated floors; yes they are warm but the floors are never wet and messy from ski gear!
The heated deck around the hot tub/pool; the fact that the hot tub/pool is both indoor and outdoor is quite impressive but there is nothing more amazing than sitting outside, in a swimsuit, on a warm deck, snow falling all around…the details!
The fully stocked kitchen; everything you would expect in your own luxury kitchen including sharp knives! We cooked every night and every item we needed was at our disposal.
Theatre room; comfy, tons of movie choices and great sound. We spent every night in this room!
Workout equipment; It was amazing having a Total Gym there to use…we’ve all had our fair share of ski injuries and it was great to have a way to squeeze in pre or post ski workout.
Alreen (for several visits across several years) – San Diego, California
Unforgettable – Crescendo is amazing! It is the perfect place to stay with a group and has more amenities than you could want. It surpassed all my expectations and you can’t beat the location. Everyone on the mountain knows the house and will envy you for getting the opportunity to stay there. One of my favorite features of the house is the ability to sit in the hot tub and wave to the skiers going down the mountain.
Jeff (for April 2013), Orange County, CA
Luxury at its finest – This was definitely paradise. Well thought out when Crescendo was built: from heated floors, touch control in each room, easy access in with fob key after long day out on the mountain, excellent location (taking breaks for lunch). The indoor outdoor jacuzzi was nice: so relaxing after a long day and we never had to wait for it to warm up. The ping pong table plus bumper/poker table kept the group occupied and there was never a dull time. The media room movie selection was full of popular and old school. I will definitely be back for a guy’s snowboarding trip or even a bachelor party. Thanks Mitch!
VI (for April 2013) – Los Angeles, CA
Best spot on Big White!!! – So many things to say about Crescendo!! Magnificent location, right down from the village, and easy to snowboard down to Happy Valley. I love that there was everything to do at Crescendo. There was never a dull day or night. Easy access in and out with keyless entry, plenty of space for two families, lots of activities (workout, nice theater room, ping pong and indoor outdoor jacuzzi. Everything was modern and hi-tech but very user friendly. This is top notch luxury. Will definitely be back for next season.
Lana (for March 2013) – Victoria, BC
When you want the Best … look no further than the Crescendo – Our family stayed at the Crescendo for five days over spring break, and for the first time I am moved to write a review about this amazing home. From the photos we viewed prior to our arrival, to our final farewell, the Crescendo met and exceeded our expectations for a memorable holiday.
I would like to make specific mention of the very kind welcome and tour of the house including its convenient touch screen system control panels throughout. Sheila made us feel like we had arrived at a home away from home – Thanks! The wine and bag of coffee beans on the bar also beckoned to us to get comfortable avant- and après ski!
The architectural design of the home is impressive: beginning with the spiral staircase; the open concept main floor with grand two-story floor to ceiling windows; a kitchen fit for a chef; and on up to the master bedroom with luxurious ensuite featuring a fabulous walk-in shower with steam spa and a romantic two-person soaker/jetted tub that looks out over the great room below and the vista of Big White beyond. The other two bedrooms each have private bathrooms – and our two boys loved sleeping up in the cozy loft!
And then there are the amenities. The media room has a home-theatre system complete with expansive film collection, well-stocked bar/kitchenette and cleverly planned Murphy beds for extra sleeping accommodations. The indoor-outdoor pool/swim spa – wired for sound, of course – and table tennis/weight room/game center housed in the heated garage round out the space to make the Crescendo an all-inclusive in itself! In fact, when we weren’t out skiing or gathered around the great glass dining table for meals, our kids bee-lined to the pool or the table tennis – an unexpected gift of time for the adults.
We have stayed at Big White several times and keep coming back for the great snow and even better people, but we have never found ourselves in such a prime location, both in terms of ski-in/ski-out and a 5 minute walk up to the Village.
I would recommend the Crescendo without reservation to families on ski vacation (bring your friends for double the fun!); a great place to celebrate after a round of golf in Kelowna during the summer; or an ideal location for a corporate retreat. Prepare to be impressed.
MEQ (for March 2013) – Golden, Colorado
This was our second stay at Crescendo. Our week at Crescendo was fantastic! We had a large group and a couple of very young children. A few key things really allowed everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company. but also to have family privacy when needed.
First of all, the proximity of Crescendo to, well, virtually everything made it very convenient for us all. For those of us that were sharing parenting duties, we could ski to within 5 steps of the door of the house, stow our skis in the ski locker, and step into the entryway where snowy clothes and boots are easily stowed in tidy cubbies. The boot drier would get to work on wet gear immediately. Within minutes, parenting duties were exchanged, mom/dad were happy with their time on the slopes, and the kids had a ball inside with the ping-pong table, video games, media room, the garage for just running around, or getting bundled for a trip to center village to play on the playground, ride the gondola down to the tubing hill, or take a ski lesson. It was by far the most convenient experience I’ve had while sharing parenting duties at a ski mountain. And once inside, the layout of the house accommodated everyone’s needs really well.
Maybe it was the high ceilings throughout the house that lent a sense of having ample space, even while sharing the house with a dozen or so additional people. The murphy beds in the media room were really comfy, and the built in drawers allowed you to stow away your clothes out of sight but not out of reach. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have wanted, and the dual dishwashers meant we never ran out of clean dishes. The linens were exquisite, the speakers and TVs throughout the house, all controlled by touch-panels in every room are very cool, and watching a movie in the media room felt like being in a theatre!
I can’t say enough about Crescendo. We’re really looking forward to our next trip back!
Mark (for February 2013) – Vancouver, BC
I have had the opportunity to stay at Crescendo the past three years. We keep coming back, not only for the accommodations of the mountains and the comfort and beauty of Crescendo, but also because of the hospitality we received from the staff. We are avid snowboarders and the mountains of the interior are by far the best in world with its champagne powder. The home itself is spectacular, as it is both impressive, and yet comfortable and homey for those staying there. I strongly recommend Crescendo for all visitors of Big White, and I guarantee that it will pass all your expectations.
John (for February 2013) – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Contemporary architecture and unique skiing experience – If you enjoy contemporary architecture with ultra modern electronics, this is the place to stay. Oh yes, the skiing was also a lot of fun. We had a party of 20 people covering 3 generations and this place was able to comfortably accommodate everyone and their unique needs. There are several places for groups to gather or sullen teenagers to withdraw to. It is a true ski in, ski out place and only a couple minutes’ walk from the main village. We had been talking about renting the place for the last 4 years and were glad we did.
Would I recommend Crescendo? “Absolutely!! I would recommend this accommodation to my best friend!”
Bill (for February 2013) – San Diego, CA
Top Notch, Awesome Property – Great property and great snow. Your staff was great and we had a great time. Big White and Crescendo are hidden gems that we have been raving about to our friends. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
Alex (for February 2013) – Vancouver, BC
Great Ski -In and Ski- Out – This is my second time stay at Crescendo. First time was the best time I ever had. The house is just amazing unless you’re a very rich person that has a property like this. The ski in and ski out for Crescendo is great since u r located close to the stores and gondola. This is the best rental u can get at Big White hands down, if you have the bucks. P.S. Try to bargain for lower price like I did – lol
Kim (for February 2013) – Peachland, BC
Crescendo = Spectacular!! – “Unparalleled excellence”? I absolutely agree!
We had a fantastic time at Big White, and Crescendo was a big reason why: ideal location, superbly comfortable and beautifully designed. Functional and spacious, all tied together in luxury. My boyfriend is not a skier (yet!) but my friends and I hit the hill with relish. It was so convenient to not only have ski in/out abilities but being so close the mountain village was a treat. While we were on the slopes, Peter was busy using the kitchen (to make lunch for us!), soaking in the hot tub/pool and enjoying the fully equipped media room. We also had a fun battle in the games room with a ping pong tournament… because we’re not at all competitive. 🙂
All in all, a wonderful time had by all, and we fully endorse this accommodation to those inclined to either hit the slopes or just relax.
We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy the comforts of Crescendo in the sunshine for hiking and biking, and so I can avenge my title as ping pong champion. Until next time!
Daman (for January 2013) – Maple Ridge, BC
Near impossible to top this ski in/out experience – Simply incredible ski in/out experience
Well I would say watch the YouTube video and judge for yourself, but it doesn’t even do this house enough justice. It is absolutely stunning and perfect in so many ways. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay at a luxury ski in/out house walking distance to the heart of Big White.
We absolutely loved the house and location. It was a totally flawless holiday with a great start to it when we pulled in the driveway after a 6 hour drive and there were people there to help unload our trucks and go over the house operations. We literally skied and boarded from 8:30am-8pm for 4 days straight. After that the hottub wasn’t a bonus but a necessity. The kids thought the best thing to do was run around the snow in shorts and get back into the tub after. Lots of good pictures of that.
The location to the center of Big White is incredible. We didn’t have to start our vehicles once during our stay. The house itself is something out of movies. The finest hotels would have a hard time to beat it. This place was spectacular and I would recommend it to anybody thinking of renting a luxurious house in Big White.
This was our first ski vacation and it will be hard to top it. Thank you very much for the opportunity to enjoy your house and thank you so much or making it affordable for us. Hopefully we will be in contact this year for another stay next winter.
Mac (for January 2013) – Ontario
Slopeside luxury – We enjoyed a family New Year’s vacation at Crescendo with 14 people spanning 3 generations. Being able to comfortably enjoy dinners together in the dining room was a fantastic way to cap a day.
The theatre was a huge hit and the hot tub got plenty of use after a day on the slopes. This was our second stay at Crescendo and we will be back!
Marshall Family (for December 2012) – Kelowna, BC
The best place to stay in Big White – without a doubt
We have been to Big White 5 times, staying at different condos around the mountain. This last time we stayed at Crescendo (ourselves and 2 other families) and found it to be the best! The facilities are perfectly kept and its proximity to the village and ski in/ski out access makes for a very comfortable and luxurious stay.
When we next go back, it will be the first place we try to rent, as it would be difficult to stay anywhere else.
Sheila – (December 2012) – Kelowna, BC
Oh My, Oh My, above all expectations. This home is incredible. The kitchen has every small appliance you can dream about. The Media Room (or man cave) is awesome, and the kids can watch movies in surround sound!! The adults can have their own party with the full bar available. Music throughout the home is relaxing and helps the party play all night long (if you so desire). Ski-in Ski-out could not be any better, and granny can watch the grandchildren ski by (Bonus).
This home enabled us to have the most wonderful Family holiday ever. With 6 adult children, spouses, and 8 grandchildren (2 were unable to come due to travel and work), everyone’s needs were met and beyond. A 6M dollar home at around $130 per night per person, this is the best bargain on the hill, and the most exciting place to stay. Thank you Mitch for an incredible holiday, and allowing us to experience your home at Big White Ski Resort. Your generosity in sharing your home and allowing us to have the Crescendo experience changed all our lives. 🙂 We will be back and our children will be back without us from time to time as well.
Kelly (for December 2012) – Vernon, BC
The best place to stay in Big White – without a doubt.
We have been to Big White 5 times and Crescendo is the nicest, well-appointed, and best located accommodation on the mountain. We were a group of three families and we all enjoyed the large kitchen, multiple bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. The table tennis and indoor/outdoor hot tub made for great après ski activities! When we next plan to return to Big White, Crescendo will be our first choice.
Pat (for December 2012) – Alberta
This beautiful and unique home provided us with a wonderful family retreat. We loved our family ski holiday at the beautiful Crescendo. It is certainly a unique property, ideally located at Big White, and has too many amenities to name. We did thoroughly enjoy the vaulted great room – the huge windows provided a spectacular view, and the kitchen was extremely well supplied. We found Dr. Mitch (owner) and Sheila (property manager) a pleasure to deal with. Sheila was very responsive when there were a few glitches with some of the electronics. Although Crescendo can sleep a large number of people, as there are just 3 bedrooms, privacy with overnight accommodations for a large number of people may be a consideration. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful property!
Owner’s Note: Thanks Pat! Yes, if I recall, it was during your stay that, two days in a row, the power went out at Big White. Apparently, all that early snow downed some trees, which downed a couple power lines. Most of Crescendo’s electronics will reset themselves automatically when power returns, but to guard against power surge destruction, certain extra sensitive pieces do need to be reset manually. I’m glad, though, that Sheila was on top of that immediately for you.
We’re now a five bedroom home! Woo Hoo! One of the things I insisted upon in the design was for it to be convertible. I didn’t want there to be a lot of empty bedrooms, for example, and instead wanted to utilize that space when the configuration of guests allowed: hence, the three custom queen Murphy Beds/Closetry in the Media Room: 4th bedroom. After the season closed this year, we added a new bedroom, bringing the total to five. In the Game Room, we designed & built an incredible U-shaped couch, with drawers underneath. Upon demand, the couch converts to 4 Twin beds. A sliding glass wall sections the room into a private bedroom. Take a look at the pics on our website. Pretty incredible.
Thanks again for your very kind words, Dr. Mitch
Val (for October 2012) – Armstrong, BC
Opulence on the Mountain – We had an opportunity to spend a night of luxury and splendor at the Crescendo. Our children enjoyed the beds in the “sky” and the privacy it offered to ourselves. The amenities were second to none that I have ever experienced before: local or abroad. For such a loud name the setting was tranquil and serene. The hot tub that is inside and that carries to the outside was brilliant in design and in effect.
The steam shower was rivaled only by the overlook of the bath surrounded in glass. Media room top notch layout, and functionality. Perfect accommodations for a family or large group: privacy still achievable due to sheer size of this space.
Marc (for October 2012) – Kelowna, BC
The most the mountain can offer – By Far the Best on the Mountain.
This is my third experience at Crescendo. You know this place is great. Ya, you hear it all the time, but, this time is a different perspective, from a “test drive” point of view. As I said before, I can appreciate the time invested in making this beast tame enough to be user friendly, for the not so tech savvy people. I’ve been alone in here for approximately 24 hours, and what I’ve come to appreciate are the little things…for example, getting the light settings for mood arrangements, and what makes the individual rooms “look good.”
Right from the excitement of seeing her as you drive up Rockridge, and gawk saying, “WOW is that the place?!”… To trying to take in all you can in a short stay, I appreciate it much more as I have been able to enjoy this place alone, before guests show, who will share the same “Wow…is this the place?” excitement. It sure is a sweet place, and certainly is not a house, or chalet, or any other lame title. She has her own identity…Crescendo. She truly is a magical beast. Thank you!
Definitely the worst part of Crescendo is leaving. This was by far the best stay for me. Anyhow, I just want to thank you a million times. Everything was perfect. My guests were amazed!
M. De… (for October 2012) – Salmon Arm, BC
Wonderful Retreat – We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with a group of friends. There were so many rooms and activities at the house, that it didn’t seem like there were almost twenty people there, including energetic kids!
The huge indoor/outdoor hot tub was fun, the games rooms and huge projector TV were awesome, and the beautiful kitchen/living room had enough space for all the adults to gather for food and conversation.
We had the privilege of staying in the master suite, and it is gorgeous, and the ensuite bathroom was fabulous – huge steam shower and soaker tub. It was a lovely way to retreat from the real world for a weekend!!
Thomas (for October 2012) – Ft Lauderdale, Florida
Absolutely stunning custom work of art where fun awaits.
As an owner of 16 properties, Crescendo IS what I like to call “the peak of perfection of which none compare.” This home and the experiences it brought during our stay were unparalleled: space, technology and wonderful times.
From the moment you drive up the private driveway, you know you are somewhere special. Crescendo, a CUSTOM WORK OF CONTEMPORARY ART, where CLASS AND TECHNOLOGY merge.
Five interlocking levels surround the large round glass-blocked staircase. Don’t look for a light switch, there are none! Your first touch-screen display screen is inside the front door. Press “Arrive” and the home comes to life. The touch-screens operate the lighting, XM sound, and climate control in each room. From the touch-screens you can also view the entry cameras and unlock each entry door. The owner told me there are many miles of cabling in the home and the home is geothermally heated and cooled.
Game Room for games and bumper pool; Rec Room with ping pong, exercise equipment, and more. LARGE Media Room with, around 1000 movies on the incredible digital media system. Main level Dining Room and HUGE Great Room with amazing views (ski slopes 5’ away) from the approximate 30’ curtain of glass. Great spot to entertain, read, or just turn on the fireplace and nap. Large Commercial Kitchen has a huge bar that opens into the great room. At the Guest Rooms level, behind a curved glass brick wall, you’ll find the laundry facilities with TWO sets of commercial washer and dryers. Floor to ceiling glass enclose the large custom hot tub ROOM! FROM THE HOT TUB you can SWIM UNDER THE GLASS WALL to the outdoor resistance lap pool WITH HEATED concrete borders (The owners did not want you to sit on snow if you wish to sit and watch the slopes from the pool!). Heated ski-boot hangers inside to dry your ski boots. Looking through the Master Bath GLASS WALL you can see through the large Great Room windows to the slopes!
We stayed in non-snow season and had a wonderful time relaxing, hiking (fun opportunity to hike snowless ski sloops), reading, cooking, the hot tub, theatre and watching the incredible clarity of the stars at night from the pool. Looking forward to coming back during ski season and skiing DIRECTLY OFF THE SLOPES INTO THE BACK DOOR! CRESCENDO the “PEAK of AMAZING” SIMPLY AN AWESOME ADVENTURE! Forgot to mention ALL the floors are HEATED! Owners were extremely accommodating!

Hi Mitch – We enjoyed it so much to have the whole family all at one spot that we have booked again. My brother and sister-in-law were doing the booking this time for the August long weekend 2013.
Anellina & Carl – (for September 2011 & 2012) – San Clemente, CA
Absolutely Beautiful, Tremendous views, Exquisitely Quiet, State-of-the-Art Design –
Mitch –
Thanks again for the wonderful opportunity to stay at Crescendo for a whole week in early September. The weather was perfect: mid 70’s during the day and low 60’s at night (we gave up on Celsius, we are proud, ignorant, Americans). It was wonderfully quiet on the mountain. Enjoyed hangin-out with the locals at Carver’s (only place open, but food was good).
Crescendo is a technical marvel! The only thing missing are automatic toilet paper dispensers, but I’m sure you are working on it. The indoor/outdoor spa was a treat, the steam shower in the master and the Jacuzzi looking out over the Great Room and the mountains – great touch.
I can see what you mean that Crescendo can hold a lot of people at once without the feeling of being crowded – with all the multi levels and ways to entertain oneself. We felt very cozy just the two of us.
We had a great time in that wonderful state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen. Cooked to our heart’s content. Used the outdoor barbeque a lot, being so close to the kitchen. I told Anellina the only thing the kitchen lacked was the Ice Cream maker, and then I found that too.
Wonderful wine tasting down the mountain. Our visits to the wineries were impressive.
In summary, it was lovely, tremendous views, exquisitely quiet in the mountains with bright and beautiful stars at night. It is truly a place to relax and luxuriate. A truly wonderful way to spend our anniversary for the past two years.

Amazing accommodations & Excellent Customer Service – My company was looking for a rental property to hold one of its training meetings for a new product launch. Instead of going the usual hotel route, we wanted a more “homey” feel, where our guests could have more face time with each other in a less formal setting. Crescendo worked out perfectly in providing the meeting/presentation space we needed, as well as plenty of room for relaxing and having fun. After our product meetings were done each day, the kitchen/great room was where we stayed most of the time. It was the perfect area for cooking meals together (a great bonding activity) and just hanging out after a long day of learning.
On top of all this, we had great customer service from Mitchel and his team. We were well taken care of before, during, and after our trip. I would definitely recommend Crescendo for anyone looking for either business or pleasure accommodations.
Darlene (for July 2012) – Kelowna, BC
The One and Only Amazing Crescendo!!
I have had the enormous pleasure of staying at Crescendo for both Business and personal pleasure several times over the past 6 years. My first stay at Crescendo in early April 2008 was so overwhelming, I forgot to ski! I returned the following year in later April 2009 with 30 business associates, 15 of them staying the weekend. The TV room is ideal for presentations, and the elegant Great Room/Gourmet kitchen was perfect for our cocktail party. I returned in July of 2010 for a birthday party with 18 friends! We had a wonderful weekend!
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter – whatever the reasons – it’s all perfect at Crescendo’s! Mitch is amazing to deal with as well. In addition to his wonderful humour, he makes securing the rental a breeze, is always there to help, amazing quick responding to emails, and always available to make your experience at Crescendo a perfectly elegant affair.
I would highly recommend Crescendo for any event, corporate, personal, Wedding, Golf Trips (amazing golf courses close by), Family Re-unions, Skiing (of course), and just plain chillin’ out!
Nicole & Curtis (for May 2012) – Burlington, Ontario
Such a Beautiful Home – This home is incredible. If you would want it, it’s there. From the amount of pure space to the exceptional quality of everything in the home, it leaves you quite flabbergasted that someone is willing to share this. We stayed here as a honeymoon for a few days and it’s so worth it, even in off-season.
The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The master bath was… wow… just wow. The shower was large with shower heads everywhere. The tub was built perfectly for two. Since it was just the two of us we didn’t make use of the other bedrooms, but we thought it was awesome that they each had their own bathroom, plus there was extra bathrooms to use around the house.
The laundry area was awesome and I think the boot dryers were an amazing touch. I hate cold wet feet! The media room was amazing. With a huge DVD collection we weren’t bored for a second and it’s a great place to just socialize in as well. We also spent time in the great room just enjoying the views, the fireplace and the ambience that the Crescendo brings. The kitchen is well stocked with every gadget, pot, or item you may need including some basics you might forget.
We LOVED the pool area. We heated it up to hot tub temps and just relaxed. I could imagine it would be the best part of a long day on the slopes or a great way to keep kids entertained. I can imagine had the kiddo been allowed on the honeymoon, majority of her time would have been spent here!
There’s also a game room which is great for when you’re tired of being a prune, but we didn’t have a chance to use it during our short stay.
There is plenty for everyone to do so that you don’t feel crowded as this place sleeps a lot of people. I’ve stayed in houses before with large numbers of people and unless there are plenty of things to do, people tend to get on each other’s nerves. I doubt this would ever happen here as there is just so much to do in this house. We are forever grateful that we were able to spend the few days here. I hope we can go back some day with friends to really enjoy everything the Crescendo has to offer during the winter season.

A Wonderful Place: for a Party or for the Entire Family to Enjoy – I absolutely love Crescendo. I have stayed here 3 times now and each time it gets better.
Initially I came with a huge group of friends. It was the perfect place to easily have a party and allow each person/couple to do what they wanted. We would all get together at lunch and at the end of the day and cook family-style meals. It was a blast.
I then came back years later with my husband and 2 very young children (9 months and 2 years old). It was the perfect place for a family vacation as well. I honestly didn’t think it would be possible for a long time to have a real family vacation with such young children. The location of the house is perfect, allowing my husband and I plenty of time to ski for hours and switch off watching the kids. I was still nursing at the time, so it was convenient for me to nurse my son and get right back out on the slopes without wasting precious travel time in between.
The house was large enough that having my infant there and 2 other babies there simultaneously (who still woke-up throughout the night) was not a problem. My 2 year old loved playing in the snow and watching the other skiers go by.
It was such a wonderful vacation I actually cannot wait to go back. We are going to try to make Crescendo a destination for our growing family and friends on a regular basis. Thank you Crescendo!

They’re right about Unparalleled Excellence! – My family and friends had the pleasure of visiting Big White and staying at the gorgeous Ski Crescendo last year, and I wish we could go every year! We had so much fun and were so comfortable there, it was very hard to leave. It’s clear that the owners care about the details. We were blown away with every little convenient detail that the house provides–from an outdoor ski locker to boot and glove warmers–and even the laundry area is very well thought-out. And the clever conveniences are just the beginning.
The house exemplifies luxury while still letting you feel comfortable and at ease. We drank wine by the fire, made delicious meals for our large party, and we were all able to sit down together at the huge dining table. Oh, and there’s the indoor-outdoor hot tub! Soaking in the tub as we watched the snow fall in the evenings was simply heavenly.
I really can’t say enough about how fabulous our stay was. Thanks, Ski Crescendo for an amazing vacation! We look forward to coming back again sometime!

Amazing! Had an incredible time at Ski Crescendo in March 2012 with a group of our closest friends. The skiing was amazing and the incredible access to the slopes was fantastic! Can’t wait to return again in the future.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay! This house has every modern feature I could have imagined. First class all the way, from the heated flooring throughout, to the poker room, bumper pool, ping pong, the theater room, and the incredible indoor/outdoor hot tub. We loved the ski in – ski out access and extremely short walk to the nightlife. This house has it all. Thank you, Mitch!

Wonderful stay at Ski Crescendo. Who needs to look up the ski conditions when you can just look out the window at the slopes-it doesn’t get any closer than this! The house is designed for skiing convenience. Ski from the slopes directly to the roomy ski locker, which is located right next to the door to the house leading into a larger area to store ski clothes with lots of boot and glove warmers. We all really enjoyed all the toys, games and the hot tub which is both indoor and outdoor. Owners were great and accessible.

One of a Kind – Our week at Crescendo was fantastic! We had a large group and a couple of very young children, and a few key things really allowed everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company but also have family privacy when needed. First of all, the proximity of Crescendo to, well, virtually everything, made it very convenient for us all. For those of us that were sharing parenting duties, we could ski to within 5 steps of the door of the house, stow our skis in the ski locker, and step into the entryway where snowy clothes and boots are easily stowed in tidy cubbies. The boot drier would get to work on our wet gear immediately.
I can’t say enough about Crescendo, we’re really looking forward to our next trip!

Quite simply, Crescendo is the nicest, most beautiful vacation home in which I have ever stayed. The home is enormous yet very welcoming. The bedrooms and bathrooms felt homely but also luxurious. We listened to music almost constantly over the built in over-head sound system, and watched movies every night in the personal theater.
Preparing meals in the spacious, modern kitchen was fun and easy. I could go on and on about the beauty of the living room, with its massive windows and gorgeous gas fireplace. We enjoyed countless hours playing games and recounting the day’s events in front of that fireplace.
I had previously only skied in the east, and was blown away by the quality and length of the slopes at Big White. I was also amazed that we were literally living right on the mountain, and could go out the back door each morning, put on our gear, and immediately resume skiing. Stopping for lunch was also awesome, because no time was wasted waiting in line or driving to a restaurant: we simply skied up to the back door, took off our gear in the large laundry room (with two washers and two driers), and ate at our convenience.
Another amazing option at Crescendo is the hot tub. There is nothing like walking out into the gently falling snow after a day of fantastic skiing, looking up at the gorgeous Canadian skyline while wearing only a bathing suit, and then climbing into a steaming hot tub. We fit 10+ people into the hot tub, and would have had room for plenty more.
In short, Crescendo is an amazing place, ideally located on an incredible ski resort. I loved every minute that I spent there, and recommend it whole-heartedly. If you are going on a skiing/snowboarding vacation in Canada, do it the right way, and go to Crescendo.

Unbelievable ski vacation home – We stayed for a week with 2 other families. Best ski home we have ever stayed at! The location is close to the village and true ski in/ski out as the ski run is just alongside the house. People ski by and ask if it is a personal house as we are hanging out in the inside/outside oversized hot tub. The media room, with hundreds of movie titles, is available on the home server, which kept the kids entertained in the evenings. We definitely want to return in the future.

Great time – Our family enjoyed a summer visit to Crescendo. It offered lots of things to do in the house and a Great Room to catch-up and share meals. A high-tech house indeed! Vancouver

We loved Crescendo so much. We’ve traveled with our family extensively, skiing for many years, and have stayed in many beautiful places worldwide. We especially loved Crescendo due to its fantastic location and size! The house is so well planned out and the kitchen was just perfect for us, as we love to cook. Thanks for a great time. Best time and memories – forever! Sydney, Australia

Incredible Place – We have stayed at the Crescendo and by far it is something I would recommend others to do.
The place is beautiful. Perfect location for ski in and out. Hot tub is big enough for the whole group. Lots of beds for a large party. My favorite is the kitchen area – wide open and all windows.
If you are a techy person, you will love how the whole house is wired up with controls.
John & Paula (for January 2011) – Sydney Australia
Amazing – Crescendo is the total package! Prime position ski in and out. Perfectly located to all restaurants and amenities. The house is wow! We love to cook and the kitchen didn’t miss a beat! Theatre room was fantastic for everyone not to mention pool table and the swim in and out spa. Nothing was too much trouble and any problems were immediately rectified. We loved our stay at Crescendo! I hope we get to come again one day!

Opulence on top of the world! – We entered the front door and with the touch of one button the chalet came alive with lights, music and fire. There is nothing predictable in this home, everything is magical. The 35 foot tall open stairwell leads to six levels. Each floor is fun to explore and full of surprises. The best feature for me was the indoor/outdoor pool/hot tub!
The place is equipped with everything and we felt instantly at home. The location is one of the best on the mountain. It is just a short walk to the village and set right on a main run.
Since 2007 we have had the privilege to stay at the Crescendo three times with our family and my husband stayed once with his hockey team. We have so many great memories and can’t wait for our next stay!

Amazing Stay at Big White!
We had the privilege of staying at Crescendo at Big White with some family and friends, and it was an amazing get-away (that we never wanted to end).
Upon our arrival, we did a quick walk through to check out our accommodation, and it did not disappoint. It was even better in person than the website description and photos!
Once we unloaded our supplies for our stay, we settled in and began to feel like we had left the real world behind. The next few days were filled with great food, wine, games, laughter and socializing. We managed to get out and enjoy all that Big White has to offer, but always looked forward to returning to our “Crescendo Castle.”
We thoroughly enjoyed movie watching in the amazing home theater, some ping pong, using the BBQ, late night tubing & tobogganing, and the indoor / outdoor hot tub! Even sitting in the great room in front of the fire listening to some music while socializing with the adults, while the kids played ping pong, made popcorn, and watched all kinds of movies on the large home theater screen and amazing surround sound system!
We will definitely be looking forward to our next stay at Crescendo, and would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone who wants to spoil themselves with Big White’s most exclusive accommodation. You will be the envy of all who ski by!

An exceptional, top quality winter vacation! – We have stayed at the Crescendo for a few years. Our first time was in 07', 6 months after my first daughter. We brought my parents and had just a fantastic quality family trip from adventures, facility to the overall experience. Since then we have been five other times. In fact we loved it so much we surprised my family and brought them up for a Christmas present: all 16 of us. What a time to remember! Being able to be just below the village ski in and ski out. There is something for everyone: even if that means curling up in front of the fireplace watching the skiers or reading a good book. What’s not to love about Crescendo?
Dale (for January 2010) – Kelowna, BC
We had a spectacular time!! The heading says it all. Unparalleled excellence. When we go up as a family, it is hard to get outside to enjoy the outdoors. There is so much to do in the Crescendo. We loved our stay.
Jason (for January 2010) – Atlanta, GA
Like staying in a palace – I cannot possibly rate Crescendo highly enough! I spent a week there in 2007 and loved it so much that I went back for another week in 2010. If I weren’t a broke college student, I can promise you that I’d be there every single year.
The house is beautiful and futuristic in a way that few places can compare to. Everything is automated and – to put it simply- fancy. The lights and anything technological are all on control panels on the wall, and every time I think I’ve seen everything there is to see about the house, I find another nook or cool tidbit I hadn’t found yet. The showers are all awesome (especially after a long day of skiing) and the indoor-outdoor hot tub is amazing.
Perhaps the best thing about Crescendo though is that, despite its impressive amenities and amazing gadgets (I’ve barely scraped the surface of them in this review), it still manages to feel cozy and comfortable. When I’m in Crescendo I always feel like I’m at home (or maybe that’s just caused by my intense envy that I don’t actually live there).
Oh, and it’s very important to mention that Crescendo is literally right next to the ski slopes, making the house ski-in-ski-out, which is fantastic if you want to get in a full day’s skiing (or if you’re lazy like me and you don’t like hiking half a mile with skis slung over your shoulder).
Overall I’d rate my stays at Big White and Crescendo as the best ski trips I’ve ever had- hands down. As I mentioned at the beginning, I’d give this place more than five stars if it were possible. If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend it.

The best of Big White – What a fantastic place! Rip Curl Canada held our Mountainwear Conference at Crescendo in December. This magnificent home, centrally located to skiing and amenities, provided the perfect place for this function. We skied all morning and worked all afternoon and evening – having everyone located in this place made for an incredibly productive and enjoyable conference. Thanks Dr Mitch.

Big White’s Finest – We had 3 generations of family staying at The Crescendo, and everyone from the 1-year-old to the 73-year-old agreed this is the nicest and most impressive vacation home we have ever stayed in. The home is so well-designed that, even with 16 staying together, never once did we feel that we were camped or getting in each other’s way.
Cooking meals was a breeze in a kitchen set-up so well that you could probably cater for more than double the number we had. Then having a dining table that all of us could sit together just topped it off.
The Crescendo truly is an amazing home in a great location at Big White, with easy ski access and very close to the main village. The Crescendo is a true 5 Star experience.

Spectacular! The Crescendo Chalet is amazing! We had a wonderful time in B.C. Spending time with family is priceless! We had great wine, fabulous dinners, and relaxed with the breathtaking views. The house is cool and hip, but very warm and inviting…We will definitely be back someday for ski season. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable! Warmest regards, Liz

Big Palace – Crescendo certainly felt like its name. A beautiful ski home, right on the mountain, ski in and out. Although I am not an avid skier, I enjoyed the luxurious accommodations and beautiful views. It was also an easy walk into the village for restaurants and entertainment. Having never stayed in a “smart house”, I was amazed by what could be done from one control panel!
This native Floridian in me loved the heated floors. I never felt cold inside the house! There were several memorable aspects to Crescendo, like its wonderful in and outdoor sauna/pool and large movie screen and movie collection. Also, I truly appreciated a kitchen that’s better stocked with modern appliances than the one in my own home!

WOW! What an amazing time we had! This was by far our best family vacation ever. Since our stay back in 2009 we’ve been to Sun Peaks and Whistler: both amazing places to ski! But the kids always talk about Crescendo! The Parents too! You couldn’t ask for a better Ski in Ski out facility at Big White!
The home itself is second to none. From the time you got up till the time you went to bed you felt you got your money’s worth. Spectacular skiing and a Taj Mahal for accommodations. Everything was top of the line, and we felt like royalty. Crescendo exceeded our expectations. The least favorite part was having to leave! Hope all is well and we always think about Crescendo. Thanks again! Cameron

By Far the Most Outstanding Property on Big White – I was reminded of our wonderful stay at Crescendo (a couple years back ) as I skied by this amazing property past weekend. I have never experienced such luxury at a ski resort. Thanks again for the great hospitality!

An amazing residence on top of the world that pampers you –
We stayed for three days at Crescendo with some very dear friends and had a glorious time! This intuitive, luxurious home welcomes you the second you walk in thru the front door with soft music, discreet lighting and a sparkling fire burning in the huge fireplace in the front room. A welcoming gift of fresh baking and local wine was thoughtfully placed on the kitchen island awaiting our arrival.
Every imaginable detail has been carefully thought out and provided for to make one’s stay comfortable and enjoyable yet exciting and stimulating. The kitchen is of professional quality with a huge gas cooktop, double dishwashers and a plethora of small appliances and cookwares. BBQ facilities are conveniently placed outdoors just a few steps from the kitchen. Guests can sit soft in the adjacent great room and visit with whomever is cooking or perch at the huge kitchen bar and watch food prep.
The panoramic windows in the living room soar to the sky, revealing a breathtaking view of the mountains beyond or skiers gliding by on the ski runs just outside.
The bedrooms are well appointed, all with luxurious linens and private bathrooms. The master suite sits privately aloft the entire house with steam shower, soaker tub and a view forever!
User friendly control screens are placed on the walls in virtually every room providing personalized room temperature, music selection, volume and lighting. Enjoying time in this electronically-advanced home gives one the feeling of being “beamed into the future”! It’s an experience in itself!
Entertainment has been generously provided for with TV’s in the bedrooms, an amazing and comprehensive home theatre room with hundreds upon hundreds of movies at your fingertips, and a wet bar nestled in the theatre room. Board games, ping pong, a workout gym are all there for your use. An indoor/outdoor hot tub/current pool pamper your tired muscles.
Laundry facilities, boot dryers, not a detail has been overlooked! A fantastic chalet! We’ll be back!
Trevor (for October 2007) – Kelowna, BC
Amazing Experience – I was invited to stay at Crescendo with several friends, and it was amazing! We had a blast. Everything at Crescendo was perfect. The entertainment system is absolutely fantastic and the sound system in the house is great. Staying at Crescendo we felt like royalty.
When you go, make sure to try out the indoor/outdoor hot tub as well, you will love it! The hot tub was one of the best things about this place. You can swim under the glass and be outside watching the skiers go down the hill, and if you get too cold you can swim back under the glass and be inside.
