Family Fun that Feels Good

There’s nothing quite as fun for your family as time spent together on the slopes. Big White is known for more than just exceptional powder though. Year after year, this is also the place to have the chance to support a great cause. Get ready for another Big White grand gesture as a day of fun on the slopes is effortlessly turned into an offer of support for an important charity.

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, family fun will take on a whole new meaning as the TELUS Kelowna Cup introduces the TELUS Park snow-cross track. With $10,000 in prizing, this addition to the 8th annual Kelowna Cup will level the playing field as anyone can win. You don’t even have to be the fastest in this race because the closest match wins.

Having fun with your family is the best, but this charity event is even more special this year as TELUS Kelowna Cup is supporting the Kelowna Women’s Shelter. All proceeds from this event will be donated to this charity. In fact, to date, TELUS Kelowna Cup has donated $148,861 to various causes. Imagine having fun with your family while helping someone else in need, a definite win-win.

Don’t forget to register for this race, but there will be more to enjoy than just the slopes. Expect to see some pretty wild costumes. Who knows? Maybe you’ll win the best costume award for this event.

Expect to laugh. Expect to race at your own pace too. This event is ideal for you no matter which category you fit in. Under 10, Youth 10-14, Open Men’s, and Open Women’s are all open for registration. There’s great fun to be had for everyone.

Big White is known for giving back. This event provides the perfect opportunity to support those who need to have their corner of the world become a better place. Supporting the Kelowna Women’s Shelter will do more than just offer immediate help to the women and children who need assistance. This donation will also bring awareness to this important issue and cultivate a sense of advocacy for all involved.

As always, safety comes first at Big White. COVID-19 protocols will be in place as race times are staggered to encourage social distancing.

Grab those skis, snowboards, and goggles, and be prepared to beat Loose Moose’s time down the course.

Don’t wait. Register online here by 3 p.m. on Friday, February 25, then start planning your day of fun on the slopes where you can ski for a great cause.
