As the eye eats first, in fine dining the presentation is known to be an essential ingredient. That principle is certainly not lost at Crescendo, your premier Big White accommodation.
True, Crescendo can’t lay claim to creating the Monashee Mountains; we can, however, lay claim to capturing them. The unprecedented panoramas through the Great Room’s approximate 30′ floor-to-ceiling windows are truly breathtaking. From virtually every room, your eye can feast endlessly on awe-inspiring beauty: a beauty that remains the foundational ingredient to the tranquility that can be experienced at Crescendo.
Clearly, the main course at Big White is the twenty-five feet of champagne powder that is served each year. We have been told by our guests, though, that Crescendo’s signature dish is, without doubt, our indoor-outdoor pool/Jacuzzi. As one guest so aptly noted,
Our indoor/outdoor pool with 1/2 of the pool indoors and 1/2 outdoors, one can access both areas by entering the pool from inside our Pool Room. To accommodate an outdoor excursion, nonetheless, the pool’s perimeter is heated to snow-melt temperatures. This is just one of the many benefits our accommodation has to offer.
When heated to pool temperatures, stationary lap swimming is available through Crescendo’s SwimGym. The SwimGym’s non-aerated system creates an underwater current and, when operated at its higher speeds, that current is forceful enough to produce a rigorous kayaking experience, as well.
The 12′ x 16′ pool is jetted and heats to Hot Tub temperatures (104 degrees Fahrenheit)! Each of the five separate pumps connects to three Jacuzzi jets (15 total): three for your shoulders, three for your upper back, three for your mid-back, three for your lower back, three for your feet. Cool! Well, hot. Argh, you know what I mean.
Each dedicated bedroom has its own private ensuite, but the master suite is especially sweet: two sinks, a two-person steam-shower, and a two-person jetted tub. The tub overlooks the Great Room, providing views to the fireplace, to the ski slopes, and to the Monashee mountains. Breathtaking, really. Reflecting on her stay at Crescendo, one guest commented, “For such a loud name, Crescendo’s setting was tranquil and serene.”
Crescendo is a 5 bedroom 5 bathroom home. Although Crescendo has enough fixed and movable beds to sleep quite a few people, our intention is to comfortably sleep up to 14. Crescendo is perfect, then, for a multi-generational family gathering, or for 2 to 3 families to vacation together. As such, to better accommodate your unique needs, several of our spaces may be configured in many different ways.
Three of our bedrooms are dedicated wholly to that use: the Master Bedroom & the two Guest Bedrooms. The Theatre and the Game Room are our flexible bedrooms, meaning that the rooms can easily serve as being both entertainment areas and private bedrooms. While cleverly designed and hidden, the beds in both of those rooms are custom-made and permanent. Also, the bedding and mattresses are of the same exceptional quality as that of the dedicated bedrooms.
The chart below shows our bed/bath configurations. Note that, not including any of our sleeper sofas, Crescendo has 14 separate beds (1 King, 5 Queens, 8 Twins). We additionally have various portable beds that can be setup upon request. These include cots and air beds for adults, portable cots & sleeping bags for toddlers (up to about age five), and a Pack ‘n Play for an infant.
